As an enthustiastic contester I had modified FT 897D with my own constructed 2,7 kHz roofing filter because I wanted better receiver performance. I have also added RTL SDR panadapter for bandscope function and I also reduced some audio hiss after AF passband has been reduced to 3kHz.
