Just a quick update: the onboard sound is broken and it was confirmed to be a problem with the latest BIOS. We were able to test different motherboards, until they confirmed that was the issue. Gigabyte must fix it, since you can't downgrade the BIOS to get the sound back (I'm using a Ryzen 7 5800X that is not supported on older BIOS versions).
