When I wrote the review I had been using the iMic with it plugged into a USB 3.0 hub. I read an article that suggested plugging audio capture devices into a USB hub could cause the device to not function properly. I have since plugged the iMic into a USB port on the back of the iMac. The iMic seems to be functioning properly now.
