Watching a bit of that video, it suggests that RB has separate audio/video calibration settings. GH3 does not. Which, in my experience, means it's nearly impossible to adjust properly if you have both video and audio lag, of different durations. Basically you're hosed at that point, sell GH3 and buy some hookers and blow.

I'm trying to play Guitar Hero (3, 4, 5, and 6) and Rock Band (2), but the audio delay is making them completely unplayable. After calibrating them in-game, Rock Band 2 is playable, and the audio/video lag are set to 280/40ms. In Guitar Hero the max lag you can set is 200ms, which is clearly not enough.

Guitar Hero 3 and RB I have set to 20 ms.. The really horrible thing about lag is when I first calibrated it I calibrated it slightly wrong so when I played the front timing window huge and the back window was super small. Now im used to that and cant play on regular tube TV's or anyone elses HDTV without purposely setting the lag so there IS lag.

Audio lag 0. Video lag 5 ... Throws me off pretty badly trying to get used to a new setting so I pretty much stay with the default setting for Guitar Hero as it's pretty leniant when you hit the note. I can hit it at least a full half beat after the note passes and still get credit for the note.

I went to CC and purchased Guitar Hero 3 bundle (on sale $59.99) hooked it all up and calibrated it in the options to 24ms. the game seemed to have sync issues. When I had my 360 I owned the game and I could get 100% on virtually all the first songs. With the wii I was missing notes I knew I hit, and I would get like 80-90%.
