Audio out of sync when exporting H.264. I just discovered the following: Whenever I export a H.264 in MP4 container, the audio in the resulting file goes about 10 ms out of sync. (575 audio samples to be exact.) Green is the original clip, red is the resulting file from export. I used 25fps in export settings.

I recently had the same issue with my h.264 audio going out of sync. The audio is also muted in certain places too. I do have mixed media including gifs and screen recordings. But this is the FIRST project I've ever had this audio sync issue with.
H264 audio sync - Avid Pro Audio Community

H264 audio sync I've noticed this on several projects previously where H264 video files appear to introduce a small offset on the corresponding audio file of 1-2 frames compared to a more reliable codec eg. ProRes. On a recent project, time was of the essence and so I grudgingly accepted an H264 to reconform (with timecode burned in the frame).

2. Xvid @ 30fps: plays in sync but video a bit choppy is certain sequences (as expected because encode is at 30fps and source is 24fps). Nevertheless, video and audio are perfectly in sync. 3. x264 @ 24fps: plays about about 0.5 seconds out of sync. 4. **x264 @ 30fps: Here's the key test.

H.264/MPEG-4 AVC is a standard for video compression, which has nothing to do with audio at all. The Wikipedia article on H.264 makes it pretty clear, so have a read over there if you haven't already. Adobe Media Encoder exports h.264 audio out of sync. - reddit

Adobe Media Encoder exports h.264 audio out of sync. Audio engineer here. I use AME to convert h264 videos from editors to pro-res so I can import them into protools (step 1). Once I'm done with the mix, I usually need to send the client an h264 for review. Protools exports the prores video file AME created along with my nice shiny new mix, and then I convert that prores to h264 …

It appears the audio is out of sync through out the encode by a constant factor, not progressive. I see this because AVIDemux will put it in sync. The problem I have is the re-doing of every encode just to sync the 2 streams, however doing them in AVIDemux does another encode after x264 has already been done.

This is only and best way that audio remains in synchronization with video. These timestamps are called PTS/DTS values which are of resolution of 90 kHz clock. Understand that over time clocks skew but since only the exact time is referenced, decoder playout exactly in same time order. Now the major concern remains is that decoder's clock needs ...
Audio Out of sync with video AFTER Produce SOLVED

The solution is to produce your clips in m2ts format rather than mp4. The quality is exactly the same, but it seems only the mp4 format is subject to the audio sync problems. If you are using PowerDirector, after selecting your production format (I use H.264 AVC), you'll see a small drop-down menu below the format that lets you choose the file type.
