I think the iTunes preset includes this, but I wanted to highlight this important part. If you also want to play your movies on your iPhone/iPad, you MUST include a stereo track. I now see that the problem with Handbrake (for me) is that it is not capable of reading all the information on disk and sometimes it doesn't read the disk at all. So I think I need another program that is able to rip a DVD into one MP4 file with multiple subtitles and audio tracks. I don't mind paying for it.
