It's very easy to use: after you copy dsound.dll and dsound.ini to the same directory as masseffect.exe (steamapps\common\Mass Effect\Binaries), edit dsound.ini and set: eax1 = false eax2 = false Then in-game, go to the sound settings screen and enable the "hardware audio" checkbox. Restart the game. 5.1 sound is now fully working.
