As hypex say one SMPS3KA400 can power 8 nc400, using it to power 5 should still leave a lot of powers in reserve. And again, this is MUCH cheeper than using 5 SMPS600 or 2 SMPS1200A400, and gives a lot more power than both the other options. •••

Nope but Hypex are a Business and not foolish. If they can sell the nc500 boards as cheap as they do to OEMs, do the maths, there is a healthy markup on direct sales (which I have no problem with). An OEM will send funky boards back to Hypex just as fast as DIYers would Besides, the nc1200 has made them a mint considering the manufacturing costs...

Maybe Molex is not the correct name, but I refer to the plastic connectors (for connecting loudspeaker outputs, signal inputs and power supply) you see in that MolaMola amp (and in the majority of todays consumer audio gear).
