Here are some modified HP IDT Audio Drivers (derived from HP SoftPaq #59291). They got my ProBook's embedded sound chip working again on Win 10 Pro x64 (including the SRS Premium Sound Control Panel/HP Beats Audio Functionality)

Solution (1) 05-10-2013 07:36 AM. A possible fix picked up from a different forum: ->advanced------>Un-check the box 'Allow applications to take exclusive control of the device'. I believe that the IDT control panel may not be switching between speakers and headphones properly but others would have to test.

Currently I am fuming with frustration because last night I noticed that my Beats Audio Control panel was missing and when I searched for it in the start menu it said the shortcut was lost. I searched these very forums and received advice to completely uninstall the IDT Audio driver, restart, and let Windows Update reinstall the driver.

From the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and then open Device Manager. Click the small arrow next to Sound Video and Game Controllers, right click on the IDT High Definition Audio Codec and select Properties. Click the Driver tab then click on 'Roll back Driver'. Click yes or Ok to any further prompts and let the process complete.
