I'm trying to add sound in the background of a iDVD 7 menu, and it's driving me crazy. I've tried dragging the audio file from the media pane to the dvd menu, to the inspector window and to the menu drop box several times (just like the manual instructs) and it won't work. It doesn't play back or burn with the sound in the menu.

While I can hear the audio in the slideshows, I cannot hear the audio in the iDVD menus. The Menu Info shows the audio icon, but still no sound. I've tried redoing the audio by dragging the audio from media > itunes back into the drop zone, but no luck. Since this worked previously I'm assuming I've moved something somewhere and iDVD can't find it.

The only way you can add music to the QT movie file created and exported from iPhoto to iDVD would be to drag that movie file into an iDVD slideshow and add the music there. However, you would have to get the playing time of the movie file and then create a playlist in iTunes with the same playing time and use that playlist.
