Good, reasonably priced brand but nothing crazy. I have a pair of Polk towers and a polk sub. Also they're customer service was top notch - no questions asked replacement for the sub amp.

Polk is on the good list I have the MOMO component system and they sound great and deffinitly didn't blow. I bet your friend is a dumb@$$ and turned the gain up all the way and clipped em to death. Polk also has a component line (SR series) that is up there with all the TOP companies. Cost around $800 tho

I used to have some cheap DUAL subwoofers powered by a 1200w sony amp. I'm getting rid of the box&subs. From what I hear bandpass is known for sloppier bass. I will probably get a sealed. I was wondering what is a good brand subwoofer that won't cost me an arm and a leg. I really need that leg. lol (And what type of box would be better?
