The greatest increase in sound is going to come from 3.1 (or even 2.1), where the 0.1 is the LFE (low frequency effects) channel for the subwoofer. IMO, getting 3.1 should be your priority, not Atmos (for now anyway). Getting the 3.1 channels right will achieve most of the sound upgrade you are missing.

They are similar to other large manufacturers like JBL and Klipsch in that they have a wide range of products, some of which are very good, and some of which sucks. The further up in price you go, the much better they become, for instance I really like the LSi line and the RTi line is decent but the TSi line is mediocre.

Polk Audio's customer service is excellent. I once bought an open box pair of LSi7, 10 years after its original release. When I asked Polk Audio customer service for speaker rubber feet for those out-of-warranty speakers, they sent me 8 for free. I still use the LSi7. Click to expand...
