Honestly expect amplified MONO audio from the L&10 Pins on the JAMMA edge and thats it. If you want stereo have your setup able to switch to unamplified RCA inputs and plug those directly into the PCBs that support it (like CPS2, CPS3, NAOMI, System 12, etc.)

The audio output of JAMMA boards is speaker level and intended to be directly wired to a speaker. The volume control is on the JAMMA board itself. twistedsymphony Well-known member Donor 2013 VAPS Joined Feb 7, 2013 Messages 1,991 Reaction score 38 Location Tilton, New Hampshire Apr 7, 2014 #5 zenomorp said: You don't need to convert …
JAMMA audio to amplified speakers

Jamma Pins 10 / L ( Speaker +/-) are for amplified sound output directly to a speaker. Most games use these pins since they pretty much all have a small amplifier somewhere on the PCB Jamma Pins 11 / M (Audio + / -) are acutally line level outputs (ie. not amplified) to be connected to an external amplifier. This is what you'd need.

The Jamma standard have two pins related to audio (+/-). I have connected + to a phobo plug middle and – to the phono shield. The phono is connected to my OSSC upscaler via a phono to jack adapter. This setup causes weird behavior and restarts. If I just connect the middle and leave the – disconnected everything seems to work ok.

Audio output is AC coupled, impedance about 510 ohms, and 0.5x the level of the Jamma input. In English, this means that the RCA connectors on the Jammafier are 'line out' and suitable for an external amplifier. Since most amplifiers are stereo, the Jammafier has 2 outputs so you don't have to fiddle with a 'Y-cable' to get sound in both speakers.
