Model Reviewed: 10w3v2-d4. Strength: sound,price, resale value, Weakness: wont handle more than about 300 real watts, but that is enough for most. Very nice sub for anyone who cares about quality bass. They are subs for adults, maybe not for those who care about turnin heads with their system outside the car.

I had the opportunity to audition the JL Audio 10TW3 shallow mount subs today in a freshly completed install at a local stereo shop. They had just been fitted to a custom enclosure behind the seat of a Studebaker street rod pick up. The box was sealed with each sub seeing its own recommended net .5 cu. ft. for a total of 1 cu altogether.

The JL Audio 10W3v2-D2 sub is so efficient for a 10" speaker, it clearly beats most 12" subs (except for JL Audio's own 12W7 of course). It's loud AND clear! If you're looking for volume AND clarity, the 10W3v2-D2 will not disappoint. I needed deep, clean, bass, and this sub delivers! What good is a super-dooper loud sub thats muddy.

Good excursion, crisp sound not to expensive jl 310w0 power wedge ($469 msrp) 10wo ($100 msrp) power handling low (125 watts r.m.s.) can start to distort extreme volume levels. gasket easy to brake. these are great subwoofers. i used three 10" w0's in a jl power wedge, and it was very loud and clear.
