The JL Audio 500/5 pumps 100-watts to the front speakers, 250-watts to the sub, and only 25-watts to the rear speakers. To me, it's obvious JL Audio considered the importance of the front speakers. The Alpine amp I originally installed ran 50-watts to each of the four main speakers.

This is the Amp you should buy. 500 Watts/rms Between 1.5-4 ohms. This is a great amp to match the sub the JL Audio 10" W7. With both of these items you can cause some serious damage in SPL in SQ. I know because I have both. Rockford Fosgate 1000 Mono-Block Is A good SPL amp but, if you want both SPL and SQ get the JL Audio 500/1 Mono-Block Amp.

I love JL Audio!! I am pushing two 10w6's with my 300/2 and there is power to spare. I love the 24/db x-over. Prior to this I was using a cheap amp due to $$ crunch. This absolutly blows away my previous amp! Now I am looking forward to some JL components and another JL amp.

I originally had a wedgebox with 2 w-0v3s with an NVX mono amp (400 rms each). I'm a basshead who has always liked JL Audio due to the lows they produce even with minimum power to them. The technology in these subs are awesome. I ultimately was going to upgrade to 2 JL 15s with a 1000D amp to power them.
