Jaylex. Yes, there is a SUBSTANTIAL difference. The MX are really solid speakers, I ran 4 pair and fed them 75 watts rms from a JL amp on my initial setup. The size of the voice colis and power handling in the M series is a big step up, not sure what specs you saw.

The basic answer to your question is the MX has a .75" tweeter and the M has a 1" tweeter. For a tower speaker, I like the version with the most power handling and larger tweeter. Given that you already have a pair, I dont see any downside to going with either pair.
