I have owned dual SVS SB15 and SB16 Ultras, HSU, JL Audio, Martin Logan Depth and REL subwoofers. I prefer the REL G1 mkII over every other subwoofer that I've owned. JL Audio subwoofers hit harder, but to my ears, in my room/system, no other subwoofer improved everything across the audio spectrum like REL.

I like the digital amp design for the JL Audio and the master/slave configuration. I also like the user friendly integrated set up process and microphone system. Though I have not heard these subs yet, I have been told that they can provide impressive speed, slam, detail and a tight bass that can compare to anything in the market.

There is nothing wrong with JL audio subs, but for less than the price of that JL F112v2 that you have the JTR 4000ULF will walk all over it, hitting 10.5 hz easy. Again nothing wrong with JL Audio subs, but if your getting into the big money subs, above say $3 grand, there are others who will do better.
