The sound of the RM25Si Mk2 is a wonderful balance between polite and revealing. I find the JMLab line to be just a bit hot in the treble for my taste (your ears may vary..). The British speakers are a bit too polite. These Josephs are a wonderful middle ground. The imaging has to be heard to be believed!

The Rm25xl had a really nice articulate sound and the bass was really good. The Moscode used a passive volume control in the hybrid integrated amplifier. I remember asking the guy at Joseph Audio about the 7 inch drivers he used in the Rm25xl speakers. I really liked the way these drivers sounded. He was telling me they were modified Seas drivers.

Joseph Audio speakers are an easy load for a tube amp, and they love a Citation II. So I unboxed the new/used pair of RM25XL and put the requisite amount of sand in the bases. Sealed them up and put them right where the old ones were. The cabinets have identical dimensions. They look exactly the same.
