I don't know how tight they're wound in a K73-16, but it has fairly stiff epoxy-like end-seals, and the outer cover is a cylindrical aluminium sleeve that is crimped on at both ends. I'm guessing that the K73-16 is not very microphonic. ESR measures about 0.1 ohm for the 2.2uF/63V, tan delta about 0.1%, similar to a Wima MKS-2.

The Heybrooks are a 3 way and I've got the tweeter and bass covered, the mid uses 2 x 60uF Alcaps and a 4.7uF ICW. I want to lower the value for the mids by 20uF so I'm looking for a value of 100uF. I have the 4.7uF covered with a K73-16.

It's well worth checking out this thread about K73-16 caps on diyaudio only one actual user dosn't like them. All other detractors have never used them at all. For what they cost it's a no brainer. Hearing is believing, I intend to take a chance using 63V ones in a part ofm the Dark Voice circuit that only sees 70V max.

My diyaudio comment was specifically about the K73-16 caps - no where do I make mention of your projects. Why not try the K73-16s, 'with an open mind' after all they are cheap, so not much of an investment risk is there. Yes a lot of money in commercial speakers is spent on the physical appearance of a speaker not on producing a quality sound.
