The usual term for that many speakers in a box with a way too large under damped woofer is "Kabuki". This usually results in a very boomy bass that doesn't go very low, an in your face midrange and a screechy treble. I don't know about "down under" but the overwhelming majority of Kenwood speakers sold in the US were in the "Kabuki" class.

Not familiar with your speakers, but if you like 'em, that's what counts. Due to their age, the crossovers are probably due to a re-cap. I am a former owner of the SL-1600 and the KR-7400. The Kenwood receiver has adequate power for your speakers and enough inputs.
