The Cornwall III is a lot more speaker than the L100t, though that can be both good and bad. I would not describe them as comparable, other than they are both three-way speakers. The JBL is a direct radiator system, while the Klipsch relies on horns for the MF and HF. There will be more differences than similarities between them sound-wise.

So my informal assessment is that the impedance curve is pretty flat. Reason for asking is mostly to see if there are any dips that would make the 4 OHM tap on my amp preferable to the 8 OHM tap (tube amp), even though they are nominally rated 8 OHM. My guess is that it dips some in the bass, since using the 4 OHM tap seems to tighten it up some.

In my 5.1 home theater system, I use two 1978 Cornwall and three Heresy speakers. A few years ago I had the Klipschorn caps and crossovers updated but can't say that the sound improved much. I don't know much about other Klipsch speakers but the corner horns, Cornwalls and Heresy speakers are a joy.

Oh Man, Klipsch La Scalas? Low powered tube amps are an absolute must!! Trust me, I have a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls, and tubes are the only type of amp that does them justice. receivers and such may sound ok, but compared to tubes, well, there is no comparison!! Look for a SET amp or a low powered EL84 pp amp...
