Hey ya guys, i've got a laptop and when I have the power supply connected it introduces a lot of noise to the audio signal, but when I disconnect the power supply the noise dissapears totally. Is there any way of getting this noise gone because my laptop needs the power supply in to last the night of the event. Thanks.

Make an adapter from that 3rd prong to "something". That something could be the signal-ground on the output cable of your power supply. It could be a screw on the laptop. Or a shield on an unused laptop connector. Or the ground/shield on your audio cable. Make that 3rd prong adapter, but leave the other end bare for the moment.

The most likely cause for buzzing would be the fans but as you've said, you don't think that is the case. If the sound relates to electrical buzzing, the likely source is the Power Supply (PSU) coils.
