When trying to run sessions on 96khz on my Linux setup I hear crackling sounds but when I use 48khz it’s fine. I even tested on my windows 10 setup abs 96khz sounds fine. Is there a setting I should know about to adjust. I believe it’s the same with jack and Alsa.

If you set your sample rate to 96khz for example, your audio doesn't get better, it likely gets worse. This is because all of your audio needs to be resampled to a new sample rate to be played. And it is therefore changed from the source audio, and will sound worse (even if the difference is almost imperceptible in some cases.)

When I come to Linux, my card was set in 96khz, by windows, and pulse audio, or alsa works only when I set them to 96khz, otherwise the sound was harsh. The point is: The card must be in the same sample rate of the driver to work. The linux driver can't change the interface sample rate, so I must use the one that was set previously on windows.

The air is perfectly capable of reproducing 96 kHz sine waves. Moths can hear up to 300 kHz. Your ears aren't capable of hearing anything above 20 kHz, though, which is why it's completely pointless to playback audio at anything over 48 kHz sampling rate. It only makes things worse.
