Only S/PDIF sound output is available. I've just installed today the latest Linux Mint XFCE on a fairly old PC. Unfortunately sound output doesn't work and there's no option in pavucontrol to select anything other than S/PDIF. The motherboard has HDMI sound and also on-board sound (with S/PDIF as one output option of course).
