Created on November 21, 2009. 5.1 Surround sound (Logitech X-540) is only putting sound out the front 2 speakers. I have set the speaker configuration to 5.1 and it still only puts sound out the front 2 speakers and the sub. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium, and am using the onboard sound on my ASUS P6T mobo.

You need to select stereo in the Realtek HD driver then check the box at the bottom that says virtual surround. put your speaker system in matrix mode and wah-lah. P.S. You need to leave the black cable and orange cable unplugged. The X540 is not true surround sound. Sorrry.
