All of a sudden my lync 2013 x64 stopped recognizing my Audio device. If i go to settings=> audio devices i get a yellow box saying "We didn't find an audio device, which you need for calling. If you have one already, try checking Windows Device Manager to make sure it's installed and working."

Make sure that the microphone is enabled. Even though the speakers were working correctly and hence the audio device was working, I had not enabled the microphone, which caused Lync to give the No Audio device detected error. Enabling the microphone caused it to be detected and work normally.
