I had similar problems working in Windows Xp pro SP2, (boot camp partition) with my m-audio 410 firewire. I had "pops" whilie playing mp3's , and using cubase Sx ( was imposible record traks withs this pops ). In Mac OS X partitos audio card works fine ,any pops. I found that one solution in Windos could be disable the wireless network card.

Problem is my V-drums seem to become out of clock synch intermidantly during a performance using the Spdif conection. A huge POP will come out of the speakers along with a host of other problems.
