Probably this KRK is a better match for the M-Audio's BX5's which better match the KRK 5's size, but i'm not giving anything up, the AV40's do sound nice for the price and I think better for the avg. listener. Since I'm comparing a 300 dollar speaker set to a 119 one, I'm giving this KRK 4 stars because it doesn't blow away my M-Audio's.
