Logic pro comes with a ton of VST's on it's own so I'm able to use the m-audio Axiom 61 to play the "Steinway piano" for example or use many synth's that are already installed. Logic also has a good drum machine. I use Superior Drummer 2.0 for drums. It also works well with the Axiom 61.

The Axiom 61 is a great keyboard controller. The semi-weighted keys have a nice response, the drum pads work nicely, and the faders are very smooth. The rotary encoders can be annoying as they click instead of turning smoothly, and they take a lot of turning for large changes. But, they can be quite useful when making small changes.
