I own two pairs of M-Audio BX8a's..one pair is the original BX line & the other is the Deluxe model. I use them for a home theater set up,but I have used the Deluxes for mixing & it does a decent job,provided that you have adequate room treatment(as the BX8's are bass-heavy).

0. Jul 20, 2012. There is a manufacturing flaw in the BX-5A speakers that will guarantee this "blown filter cap" problem (and others flowing from it) will recur on every single one of them unless addressed. The root of the problem is the 25VDC voltage rating on the primary 6800uF filter caps.
