Bought my first Delta 1010LT; 10 years ago, it's still working great. Was using a second computer, as final mix. Tried to get around mixing 5.1 audio; using a Audigy card, m/b audio inputs, and a USB device; so I would have 6 seperate audio inputs; without buying another 1010LT.

By the way, the M-Audio Control Panel app for the unit is pretty straightforward and easy-to-use. It's the same one the Delta 44, 66, 1010LT and the Delta line uses. I've heard that some folks install several units at once in one machine (to double or triple the channel-count), daisy-chaining the cards together using the S/PDIF ins and outs.

The M-Audio Delta 1010 LT is a 24 bit/96.6 khz sound card that has eight analog inputs and outputs, SPDIF in and out, and MIDI in and out. This card can record up to eight tracks simultaneously. Two of the analog inputs are XLR, allowing for direction connection to microphones, whereas the other six are through RCA connections.

I write and record music on my computer and I needed an audio card solution that was ASIO compatible to work with Sibelius 7 software. Pretty much any M-Audio sound card will do the job but the Delta 1010LT seemed like it had good bang for the buck, plus I liked the option of having all those inputs should I use it for live recording in the future.
