Go to Cubase Devices - Device setup - VST Audio system - choose the fastrack. Also click on VST system (also in device setup) link and choose fastrack under ASIO input and output. I have an M-Audio Fast Track Pro USB audio/MIDI interface (latest drivers) connected to my computer. I use Cubase 6 for all music production. My MIDI keyboard connected to the Fast Track plays fine in Cubase. I don't get any audio signal inside Cubase with either a mic or guitar connected, and no signal level at all.
