Studiologic is a brand of Fatar, one if not the largest manufacturer of keybeds in the world. Many other manufacturers use their keybeds. The SL88 uses their highest quality keybed. M-Audio hasn't the best reputation when it comes to their keybeds. The M-Audio is significantly cheaper and in this case I fear you get what you pay for.

Fatar preferred. I’ve previously owned an M-Audio keystation and Keith McMillen Qunexus. The keystation had awful action and the velocity consistency was all over the place. The Qunexus is cool, but can still be pretty inconsistent. The main purpose is really as a composition tool, for recording software instrument tracks in Cubase.
