With buzzing and hissing I would check with the cables first. There might be a ground issue somewhere. If it's not your cables then you would go into seeing if there are any other issues as far as grounding goes. Also it might also have to do with your mic connector not really making the connecting internally.

The best solution for me so far has been use 3.5mm connection, and connect directly to the back of the motherboard or sound card. There are audio editing and recording software's out there that can post process the audio. You can make alterations with those as well to reduce the white noise or hissing sounds.
