I'm having a problem getting a Blue & Silver M-Audio MobilePre USB to work too and there isn't much in the way of fix-it information out there. It almost seems that whenever someone gets the connection problems resolved they disappear.

m-audio MobilePre USB problem I have an m-audio MobilePre which I use to record guitar and vocals into Sonar 3PE. Trouble is, there's this annoying distortion which comes in, lasts about a minute, then goes away. This will usually happen when I've recorded for about 3 minutes, but also at other times.

Received a M-Audio MobilePre USB audio interface for Christmas. Tried using condenser mics with phantom power on, audio was distorted but not clipped. Then I connected the mics to a mixer board and then to M-Audio so the mixer (a Soundcraft) supplied phantom power. Audio was OK but had occasional very low level noise.

1) Uninstall all pre-existing m-audio drivers conencted with mobilepre and unplug the unit. Also disable any other sound cards (you can do this through your Control Panel or Volume bar) 2) Download the lastest XP SP2 driver from the m-audio website (NOT the vista BETA!) and SAVE
