Sound. I own just over a dozen large diaphram condenser of mics. AKG C414, AT-4033, Studio Projects C5, Rode NTK, Shure - pretty much the standard assortment for a project studio. That said, the Solaris is (by far) the dullest and thinnest sounding condenser I have ever used. In A\B test with everything, the Solaris always comes in sounding ...

The price of the M-Audio Solaris isn't all that cheap as is the case with most M-Audio mics, but it is pretty cheap when compared to some other mics of this caliber out there. While I don't think that this microphone is suitable for professionals as I don't think the sound quality is up to par, this is a pefect microphone for home studio owners.

In 2003, while Sound On Sound was waiting for the Solaris soft synth to arrive for review, Creamware Datentechnik declared itself insolvent. Resurfacing as Creamware Audio GmbH (which, while unethical, is nonetheless legal), the company continued to develop Scope until its founder moved much of its software development to India, establishing ...

The highs of the Solaris weren’t quite as smooth as those of the Dragonfly and the C 3000 B, but the overall sound was clean and clear. The Solaris was especially nice on a soft-spoken female vocalist reading text, because it provided good definition on a quiet, smooth voice without emphasizing sibilance. In 2006, the mic’s MSRP was $349.95.

M-Audio Solaris Test The MP3 doesn't do it justice... This is a bit of the rehearsal of Sing, Sing, Sing - It's a bit sloppy, and as stated, it's very drum heavy. However, it should give a pretty good idea of what these babies are worth... Heavily & sloppily edited down to …

While the MEST creates a very precise, natural and lifelike soundstage, the LE is a bit more spectacular and engaging in that regard for me. If you like a more mid-forward sound though, the Solaris LE is the way to go. VS Campfire Audio Solaris 2020 The Solaris 2020 is more analog and mellow sounding than the LE.

Sound Sometimes a little too warm, and depending on the preamp, can sound a little hollow, but it's one of my favorite sounding mics. Sounds really good on vocals, dialog, and instruments like the violin and acoustic guitar. Features Excellent! Multi-pattern, roll off, pad, shock mount, a really nice hard case, it's very well stocked. Ease of Use
