Similar sitaution here. Running Dell Dimensio 5100 with Home Premium. My audio crackles seem to be related to graphics. Scrolling song position pointers within DAW - or scrolling within any other application causes crackles. The problem is least noticeable using M Audio Audiophile USB which ahs Vista drivers. But it's still there.
