.M2TS audio delay - Doom9's Forum
https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=151403
Most DVB sources I have feature an audio delay of -100 to -1200ms. So, I intend to work the .M2TS files to extract audio, video and subtitles for authoring a BD5 or BD9. If it were only 1 audio (SDTV in .TS format) no problem at all, because most programs know how to deal with one video (MPEG-2) and one audio (MPEG-1 bzw. AC-3).

By checking the delay at the very end of these tracks, it shows that the introduced delay of 11 ms for the DTS stream has been eliminated. However, it seems that the AC3 stream always keep sync with the original track of m2ts, so this modification seems make no difference for the AC3 steam.

For lossy encoding, the audio is encoded in frames, so it's probable the unfixed remaining delay is the duration of a single audio frame, which isn't anything to worry about, but if there's an unfixed delay in the log file you can use it when muxing the extracted audio if …

MTS files always worked fine in my projects before, now the audio is out of sync in them. Happened for the first time about a month ago, but I had a deadline and just dealt with by manually syncing the audio for clips I was using. Now coming up again in my current project. When I preview files outside of premiere, the audio is synced fine.
