I dally have each of my two HK4000d's pushing, four 15" ma audio XL's, THATS's 8 15's and about 6000 watts at 14.5volt,2ohm. I haven't had any problems out of these aps at all, I even tried them at 17.4 volt and they gave me a good ear ake. I also am the 2008 meca M5 Kentucky state champion, with a 154.5 at the hed rest.

Do a search on the termpro audio forum for the hk4000d. There will be nothing but positive reviews and the same with the corresponding Visionik amp. I love how these rumors get started that something is a bad brand and that it should be avoided. MA audio is not DD or US Amps, but they still make decent products.

Those are understatements, I have just one of these on 2 MA Audio HK15X2's in my blazer in a 5 cubic foot box, To put this in perspective, The screws on the roofrack snapped from the flex in my roof, the rear window cracked, so yeah, but, yeah, good luck breathing with the 15s bangin at 3/4 volume, cops love this.

Oct 13, 2006. #2. the AB amps are rated at 17v, but from what i read they will do rated power. That amps gonna be less efficient than the hk4000d, however. and im not sure if it applies to the AB amps or not, but i know with the hk4000d, you need to run your remote wire to a relay, and run a 12v wire straight from your battery to the amp. bigt.
