- Connecting a different monitor to the Mac mini, with a different HDMI cable. Click the plus button under the device list, and choose Aggregate Device. Check the box next to your built-in output to include it in the device. Right-click the device and choose the option to use it for output. Click the minus button under the device list to remove the aggregate, and restore your default device.

The TV, PS3, DVD Player, and Cable Box are all plugged into the receiver. I think I'm out of inputs on my receiver so I was going to plug my Mac Mini into the tv and have the tv carry over the sound but what do I use to get the Mac Minis sound to the tv. The DVI-HDMI connector wont do the sound as well as the video will it?

It is an HDMI connection, thru the adapter. ATI's website clearly states that this card can route 5.1 surround sound audio thru HDMI using the ATI DVI-HDMI adapter (6141054300G). Certain ATI cards have extra pins for audio, and the radeon 2600 is listed on ATI's site as one of those cards.

This adapter gives you S-Video and and RCA Video connection (the yellow one). I am able to stream audio and video from my other Macs to the mini and only use it as a media center. I'm trying to connect my Macbook Pro Late 2011 (OS X 10.8) to a LED TV. I'm getting this flickering static shown on the screenshot below.
