MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.8) 2 GHz; 2 Gb memory; 100 Gb, 5400 rpm hard drive. As has been said several times in this forum, there is no support for generating multi-channel output. However, DVD Player can stream a multi-channel audio track through the toslink port if there is one on the DVD.

After I did all this, installing Boot Camp software in Windows gave me a fully working Windows 10, with audio too. Show activity on this post. On my MacBook Pro (8,1 early 2011, MacOS 10.13) I first installed Win 7 via BootCamp and Win 7 install DVD. In Win 7 I installed the Win 7 drivers supplied by BootCamp.
