It sounds to me like you've already found what works on your system: if 0.003 on WASAPI is sufficiently low latency, use it. If you need the 0.0001 on WASAPI then use it, and know that you can't run other applications that play audio at the same time as MAME. On other systems, the opposite may hold. 2. level 1.
