I've kinda been thinking about trying out another DAC but can't get over the awesome sq I'm getting out of my entry level Maverick Audio Tubemagic D2. I put Sparkos Labs discrete opamps in it and rolled several tubes in it.....settled on the NOS GE5670 white lettered tube. This thing just sounds so damn good and for the price it's a no-brainer.

Comparing it to my other DAC, the Maverick had more of a neutral sound to it in comparison. A slight bump at about 12k on my digital EQ and I'm really digging this DAC now. I'm looking @ the TubeMagic D2 DAC because of the lack of volume control and analog inputs. I guess this is stemming from the Accuphase C200. I have an unruly amount on inputs and knobs to tweak.
