MSP: Audio Input and Output - Cycling '74
https://docs.cycling74.com/max5/tutorials/msp-tut/mspaudioio.html
In addition to Core Audio or MME on Windows, there are a number of other ways to get audio into and out of Max/MSP. Each of these methods involves using what we call a driver, which is actually a special type of Max object. Some of these drivers facilitate the use of MSP with third- …
MAXMSP
https://amandaghassaei.com/projects/maxmsp/
MaxMSP is a graphical, flow-based programming language that makes it easy to build interactive audio, MIDI, video, and graphics applications without any prior experience writing code. I'm especially interested in using Max in conjunction with custom-built electronics to do realtime audio synthesis and processing. This is a collection of projects and tutorials I've written.

MSP: Audio Input and Output - Max 8 Documentation

Technical Detail: The Audio Status window is in fact a Max patch (called Audio Status, in the interfaces folder inside the Resources folder). Every parameter shown in the Audio Status window is a menu or checkbox hooked up to an instance of the adstatus object. The adstatus object can be used inside of your MSP patches so that you can set and restore audio parameters …

Generate Audio, Video, Code. Use Gen to patch together fine-tuned processes for audio, matrix data, or texture processing. Gen lets you combine procedural commands with visual patching to simplify the creation of custom processes. Gen objects can also output source code to be used elsewhere if needed.

FM using an audio signal as the carrier? : MaxMSP
https://www.reddit.com/r/MaxMSP/comments/skrgav/fm_using_an_audio_signal_as_the_carrier/
By the ratio of the two frequencies, I mean if you know your audio frequency you set the modulating sine wave to that frequency x2 or x1/2, x2/3, whatever. The less simple that ratio the more complex and less ‘clean’ the resulting harmonies. 12/13 will sound nastier than 2/3 as a ratio between the two pitches.
Getting audio from logical outputs : MaxMSP
https://www.reddit.com/r/MaxMSP/comments/se2h3d/getting_audio_from_logical_outputs/
I'm looking to create a patch that allows an incoming audio signal to modulate another audio signal in real-time. I know this is possible in Plogue Bidule as they have a module that converts a signal to frequency, and you can use that output frequency to modulate the FM frequency used to modulate the other signal. Is this possible in Max/MSP?
