Good thread, there are other forums (Audio Aficionado) with a very dedicated McIntosh following. I have always thought about investing in a McIntosh amp. I don't expect better sound, but the engineering, reliability and long-term value retention are second to none. As the Audio Critic says, in a McIntosh you can see what you are paying for.

Went to Audio Classic to check it out very impressed with it thing weights 75 lbs i live about 20 minutes from McIntosh labs where it was built .As far as the polks go i listen to mostly Celtic and jazz music and am very impressed with the sounds of them for the price have them biwired with blue jean cables .
