freedb: No Audio CD was found - MediaMonkey forum

    https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7988
I've been a MediaMonkey (Gold) user for awhile, but after I downloaded the new update a few weeks ago, I can no longer get track names from freedb. When I use "get info from freedb" in the Tools menu, I get a message that says "No Audio CD was found. Please insert a CD," even though there is a CD in the drive (and MediaMonkey will play the CD).

MM Reports "No Audio CD Found" - Won't ... - MediaMonkey

    https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43399
When I try to "Rip Audio CD" or "Get Album Info from Freedb", MM reports "No Audio CD Found". However, if I go into Windows Explorer and double click on the .CDA tracks, they open in MM and play correctly. Is there any backdoor way I can rip these tracks, since I can actually see the .cda files and play them? Thank you,-Joe MediaMonkey 3.2.4.1304

MediaMonkey is set to use the incorrect Audio Device on your PC. Go to Tools > Options > Output Plug-ins from the Main Menu and select the enabled Output Plug-in and click Configure. Select the correct Audio Device on your PC (generally Primary Sound Driver will work). Hardware/Driver issue.

MediaMonkey Support » Can’t Burn Audio CD with CD-Text

Check with the manufacturers documentation if your drive used to burn supports burning with CD-Text and that the drive used for playback supports reading CD-Text. A tool like Nero Info Tool (download can be found online, but not from original developer) can show if your drive supports CD-Text. Applies to: MMW4.
