What are the steps to reproduce this problem: Transcode a MKV file that has the audio flag "Delay relative to video" (In my case it's Curb Your Enthusiasm, Season 4, PAL DVD, made into MKV using MakeMKV)

    https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2194441
Having sound delay/sync issues playing mkv files on my Samsung 40F6400 from a USB stick. The same files have no audio sync problems playing on my PC. Does any one have any suggestions on how to fix this? I can't seem to find a menu option to change the audio delay. Should I not be using a USB stick (i.e. would a portable HDD be a better option?)

First, determine how long the lead-in is with whichever player you prefer. Then select that audio track in MKVToolNix GUI & enter the length in negative milliseconds. For example, if the lead-in is 48 seconds long you'd enter -48000. Then start multiplexing. What MKVToolNix will do is add that "delay" value to each timestamp of that track.

They do show that the original file (.mkv) exhibits an audio delay of 50ms while no audio delay is noted for the encoded video. Have you tried to specify a similar delay in Avidemux? Quote 3. I know 50ms is too small... BUT, the results are obvious big enough to noticed. These results have nothing to do with 50ms shift in the source video then.
