muxing titles with lpcm audio - VideoHelp Forum

It most commonly contains LPCM, which is a lossless audio encoding method. It's possible for a raw LPCM file to be dragged down to the last bits to a PC hard drive. But unless it's wrapped in a WAV container (automatically on the fly while being imported, or not) on the drive it's not much use to tsMuxer or most other Windoze apps.

Resolved - No Audio With LPCM MKVs (Fixed) | Zidoo forum

    http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/no-audio-with-lpcm-mkvs-fixed.7462/
When remuxing Blu-rays containing LPCM audio with MakeMKV, I would not be able to playback the LPCM audio track using anything, including VLC on PC, Popcorn Hour c200, Boxee Box, etc. MakeMKV sets the Codec ID to "A_MS/ACM" which is a very uncommon codec. To solve this problem, open MKVmerge GUI, and go to File -> Header Editor.

The easiest solution currently is to use eac3to to extract the LPCM track, converting it to FLAC (still lossless) as it does so. Then you can use MKVtoolnix to mux this FLAC audio file back into the MKV in place of the LPCM track. It's a hassle but it works perfectly and isn't as difficult as it sounds.

$ mkvmerge -i v.mkv File 'v.mkv': container: Matroska Track ID 0: video (V_MS/VFW/FOURCC, DIV3) Track ID 1: audio (A_MPEG/L3) Do not confuse the track IDs that are assigned to the tracks that are placed in the output MKV file with the track IDs of the input files.
