It depends on your soundcard and configuration. On my laptop there is a problem, my soundcard supports only one audio stream at a time, so there are problems. Configure, build and install MOC as you normally would, making sure configure lists "PULSE" as an enabled sound driver. You might want to run configure --with-pulse to make sure the build system changes took. Make sure SoundDriver is not included in your ~/.moc/config, or that "PulseAudio" is included in it.

MOC; Repair Alsa in Waldorf after purging Pulseaudio? Purging pulse will not have an impact on alsa, but you may have to adjust the volume indicator if you use it. Not sure what Waldorf is using for the volume indicator at the moment.

Distribution: Slint64-14.2.1.2 on Lenovo Thinkpad W520. Posts: 10,129. Rep: mocp works here with or without PulseAudio installed, as the moc package has no dependency on PulseAudio at all. I won't waste my time trying to help you finding what's wrong in your system, as your issue is a non issue.
