While I have not tried a Monarchy DIP, I have used either an Audio Alchemy DTI, DTI 2.0 or DTI Pro for several years. All of them effected some level of improvement in clarity, bass response and tonal balance. They also seem to reduce the level of tension that is frequently associated with digital playback.
